Janamasthami

The Birth of Krishna within
How can the eternal have a birth? That which is omnipresent is Divinity. If there is a birth then there must have been a time when Divinity was absent. Birth will automatically mean there is a death. The One that cannot be captured in the framework of time and space is Krishna, the Eternal Consciousness beyond birth and death.
To celebrate the birth of Krishna is to celebrate the birth of the awareness of that Omnipresence within each of us. A time to rejuvenate, to shed some of the layers of conditioning that creep on in everyday life, a time to look within beyond the corridors of the mind and experience the ever-present divinity within... even it be for a few moments.
Every festival is thus a time to invoke the deity within and a time for rejuvenation

All the religious practices are towards this end, to realize the Presence that has always been.

Interesting perspective! Something new especially when we celebrate birthdays, jayanthis and anniversaries! Who is born and who dies?

Dear Swahilya,
Yes indeed, who is born and who dies?
